to thousands of households via satellites, microwave, or cable
TV. The maximum transmission rate reaches 180 Kbps. It is widely

Tongshi VBI stock data broadcasting system
is a device for data and teletext transmission via VBI.
It enables any forms of binary files to be transmitted
to the reception end. The broadcasting system consists
of broadcasting hardware and user management software.
At present, two stock data broadcasting methods are offered,
one is re-transmission with one computer and the other
one is broadcasting with database reading (retrieve data
from Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock DBF databases). The former
method is easy to maintain and is suitable for TV stations
that cannot access Shanghai and Shenzhen stock DBF databases.
The later methods is suitable for TV stations which can
access the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock DBF database and
therefore it allows minimum time delay to broadcast the
stock information.
